Yoga for mind, body & soul.
Welcome
Standard Yoga Classes & Workshops
My standard yoga classes and workshops draw on two styles of yoga - vinyasa flow and restorative yoga - and are generally suitable for all levels of yoga experience, including beginners. These classes will often also incorporate mindful somatic movement and other practices for connecting with and balancing the nervous system.
I currently offer classes in Herne Bay and Whitstable.
I also offer an on demand video library if you’d like to practice with me at home, at a time that suits you.
Trauma & Polyvagal Theory Informed Yoga Classes & Workshops
Trauma-informed yoga (TIY) classes and workshops are specialised sessions for people wanting to explore yoga and somatic practices as tools to help their body and mind heal from trauma. They provide a safe, supportive and co-regulatory environment in which to learn about trauma and it’s impacts on the body and mind; explore body- and brain-based approaches to healing; reclaim agency and a greater sense of safety within; build resilience; and, reconnect body, mind and soul.
I use Polyvagal Theory (which explains the functioning of the autonomic nervous system) to support the learning and growth in TIY sessions or to shape other class and workshop offerings. Polyvagal Theory-Informed sessions use a combination of yoga, natural vagus nerve stimulation techniques and mindful somatic practices, along with breath work and guided meditations, to build nervous system state awareness and promote nervous system health and flexibility (vagal tone), allowing us to face life’s challenges with greater understanding, resilience and adaptability.
I currently have a trauma and polyvagal theory-informed class (called (Re)Connect) running at Cacao Atelier in Herne Bay.

About Me & Tigris Rose Yoga
I began regularly practicing yoga in 2011 and have been teaching since 2016 and am a Yoga Pros (formerly Yoga Alliance) Certified teacher.
At the core of my teaching philosophy lies the belief that our yoga practice - whatever it looks like - should enable us to connect with, learn about and care for our mind, body and soul.
